Pritchitt Partners was founded in 2003 to provide strategic public relations and communications advice for investment, professional and financial services organisations. This includes media relations program implementation, reputation and issues management, thought-leadership development, and content creation.
Its principals, Claudia Pritchitt and Leeanne Bland, have over 40 years’ combined experience in the financial services industry. Pritchitt Partners also draws on the expertise of industry veteran Jim Pritchitt.
MEET THE TEAM
Claudia Pritchitt has 20 years’ public relations consulting experience in Australia and the UK.
She has been around public relations most of her life, including working part-time in Corporate Communications Pty Ltd in Sydney before moving to the UK in 1996, where she worked with major international brands at the country’s largest independent public relations agency, Key Communications, and with Haslimann Taylor, part of the Shandwick Group.
Returning to Australia in 1999, Claudia worked on a range of business-to-business accounts with leading Sydney consultancies, before helping set up Pritchitt Partners. She specialises in financial and investment communications strategies and retains excellent working relationships with journalists in this area.
Claudia is a member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA). She has a Bachelor of Arts degree (English and History) from the University of Sydney.
Leeanne Bland has over 25 years’ financial services experience across all facets of financial services communications including public relations consulting, marketing, internal and external communication strategy development and implementation and media releases.
In addition to her public relations consulting experience, Leeanne has worked in marketing and communications for organisations such as the ASX, Centric Wealth and AMP.
She has also worked as a journalist, writing for and editing a diverse range of financial services and personal finance publications. Leeanne was business editor of the website NEWS.com.au and spent six years writing for and editing personal finance sections of The Sydney Morning Herald and the Melbourne Age. She was editor of the FPA’s Financial Planning magazine; a contributing writer to Money Management newspaper; and founding editor of the PortfolioConstruction Journal. She has contributed to The Australian Financial Review, Personal Investor magazine, The Australian newspaper’s Wealth section and Women’s Money magazine.
Jim Pritchitt has over 40 years’ public relations consulting experience covering all aspects of assisting organisations with their communication needs.
In 1976 he founded Corporate Communications Pty Ltd, which became a top six public relations company in Sydney, before selling it to the international Shandwick Group in 1986.
Since then, Jim has advised and assisted a number of leading Australian organisations on their corporate public relations, reputation management, and communications needs.
At Pritchitt Partners, he provides a mentoring role and is particularly skilled in developing strategies and helping clients implement communications activities that help them meet their business aims.
Jim is a fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA), and a fellow of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), he was a director and national coordinator of IPRA for Australia, and in 1992 was appointed its World President.
