As part of its strategic plan for expansion, Bennelong Funds Management has appointed Andrea Waters as a non-executive director.

Andrea will also chair Bennelong’s Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.

Andrea is a chartered accountant who had an extensive career at KPMG as a financial services audit partner specialising in managed investments and superannuation. Her clients included major publicly listed entities, private companies and boutique fund managers. She was lead partner responsible for a range of financial statement audits, compliance plan audits and other regulatory audits required in the wealth management sector.

Using her extensive experience with audit committees, Andrea is now a professional non-executive director. Her current board appointments include Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand, Citywide, CareSuper and the Lord Mayors Charitable Foundation. Past board appointments include Cancer Council Victoria.

“Andrea joins us at an exciting time, with growth afoot as we work towards realising the expanding potential of our business.

“In the last year, we have broadened our offering to the market through the acquisition of new boutiques, launching of new funds and expanding the distribution footprint to capitalise on opportunities locally and offshore.

“The change in board members, bringing new energy and a broad skill set, will enable the business to achieve this vision,” said Bennelong Chair, Mike Pratt.
