MEDIA RELEASE Munro Partners has partnered with one of Canada’s largest investment management firms, CI Investments (CI), to bring its global growth strategy to Canadian investors.

CI’s Munro Alternative Global Growth Fund has an objective to generate risk-adjusted, absolute returns through exposure to global growth equities over the medium to long term, while providing a capital preservation mindset. The mandate is similar to the existing Australian Munro Global Growth Fund, established in July 2016.

Munro Partners was selected by CI Financial as one of three investment managers worldwide for its new liquid alternative mutual funds.

CI chose Munro Partners due to the investment team’s record in managing long/short global equity and the alignment with Canada’s revised regulations. The Canadian Securities Administrators proposed changes under National Instrument 81-102 Investment Funds provides retail investors with access to alternative investment strategies – often used by hedge funds – that have typically only been available to institutional and accredited investors.
