Fund manager Tribeca Investment Partners (“Tribeca”) has added to its Sydney-based team with key investment and compliance related hires.
Tribeca has appointed Angus Wright to its award-winning Australian equities investment team in the role of senior investment analyst.
Mr Wright has over 20 years of finance industry experience, including 14 years of funds management experience in Australia and the UK. He joins Tribeca after five years as a fundamental equity analyst and portfolio manager at Aitken Investment Management (AIM) where he has been since the firm’s inception in 2014. Prior to AIM, he co-founded and managed an Asia-Pacific focused thematic equity fund at Sydney-based boutique, Searchlight Asset Management.
Earlier in his career, Mr Wright worked in a variety of trading-based roles at Jefferies International and Satellite Asset Management in London. He commenced his analytical career at Deutsche Bank in Sydney within the mergers and acquisition team focused on the infrastructure, industrial and transportation sectors.
Tribeca has also appointed Ken Liu who will commence on 2 September as compliance manager. Mr Liu will be taking over this role from Diana Shang-Knudsen who is leaving Tribeca after four and a half years. He has extensive experience in the compliance field after spending the past five years as head of compliance and company secretary at APP Securities, the stockbroking subsidiary of AIMS Financial Group, a diversified financial services and investment group, active in the areas of mortgage lending, securitisation, investment banking and funds management.
